I've won one of the grand prizes for the Cartoon Competition there.
Nothing much to say, as my life isn't fun enough lately.
Wanted: Music Entrepreneurs. Apply now!
Here I put some of the latest local and international competitions announcements. These announcements have been emailed by the MSC few days ago, and I'd think I hardly can't joined any of them. I guess it would be better to share them here than be rotten and wasted in my email's inbox. So waste time no more, gather your creative team and face the challenges!
2008 has drawn to a close and with the new year comes new opportunities!
British Council Malaysia has been running the International Young Music Entrepreneurs (IYME) Award for two years now. It’s our little way of recognising and paying tribute to young music entrepreneurs who have been working hard to make the local music scene a better place.
IYME 2009 is now open for applications and we’d like to hear from music entrepreneurs between 25 – 35 years old who are passionate about their industry and are committed to see the music scene develop even further. Find out application details here.
By becoming the IYME Malaysian finalist, you’ll get a chance of a lifetime to:
- Attend a two week all expense paid tour of the UK music industry.
- meet and network with leading UK music industry figures.
- promote Malaysian music at The Great Escape music conference and festival.
- share experiences with other IYME finalists from emerging economies.
Hamburg International Short Film Festival
The Challenge
The Hamburg International Short Film Festival has its roots in the independent filmmaking scene. The Festival first took place in 1985 under the title NoBudget, a name which clearly defined the Festival’s mission. In 1994 it received its current name. Since it was founded, it has always been the Festival’s aim to rise to the challenge presented by new developments and changing parameters in technology, society, and aesthetics.
The 25th Hamburg International ShortFilmFestival will take place from 2 - 8 June 2009. The submission deadline is 15 February 2009. Films for the Three-Minute Quickie competition (the topic 2009 is 'Human Error') have to be submitted by 1 April 2009.
